The programme ended on a high note with Fellows presenting their research findings and insights into the meaning of peace and conflict in everyday life in Hong Kong.

Meet our Fellows
"
The Peace Fellowship showed us hope – that even amidst the divisive socio-political landscape of Hong Kong, constructive dialogue can bridge the differences among us. The inclusive and supportive environment facilitated our own growth and demonstrated how the simplest act of initiating conversations can have a profound impact on our lives.

The Fellowship allowed us to explore the concept of peace and redefine our relationship with this notion through its curriculum and illustrious guest speakers. A particularly unforgettable experience was the forest bathing session, where we had the chance to reconnect with nature. Our modern environment has left many feeling disconnected, reengaging with nature allows us to better understand peace at its essence and appreciate its importance.

The Peace Fellowship was a unique experience for me as I got to meet so many students who share the same interests and ideals as me. The Fellowship also helped me connect the dots between the different aspects of my daily life and what I learn academically. I look forward to future Fellowships and seeing more young people benefitting from this one-of-a-kind experience.

The Fellowship was an eye-opening experience that challenged our assumptions about the world. Providing an open learning environment, the programme introduced us to a bird's eye view of peace and violence, and how we can make sense of the world through the peace lens. The Fellowship was also a great opportunity to meet like-minded people and learn from each other.

I am pleased to have joined the Peace Fellowship this year. Through this programme, I gained better awareness of my conflict style and acquired practical communication skills for transforming conflict situations. The programme also prompted me to rethink my learning experience as an education student and to reimagine what the future of education and communication should look like.

The Peace Fellowship opened my mind to alternatives and solutions in these tumultuous times. I learnt that compromise is possible when we listen to and respect the needs of one another. Most importantly, the Peace Fellowship was a safe space for me to share my worries, make friends, and tackle problems collaboratively.

The Peace Fellowship was a very intensive yet thought-provoking learning journey, with experts coming from different fields taking us through various topics related to peace and conflict before we zoom in on the local landscape for our group project. I used to see peace as the absence of conflicts, now I see that true peace requires a holistic approach bringing all sectors together for sustainable economic, political and social change
